🌷 I went on the last school trip in 2019. The educational trip went to Trincomalee. We expected Trincomalee Harbour, Marble Beach, Thirukoneshwaram Temple and other places in the trip.
We left school around three in the morning. Everyone started the journey very happily.
🙏 Dambulla Rajamaha Viharaya.
After a few hours we arrived at Dambulla Rajamaha Viharaya. Dambulla is the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. The rock towers 160 m over the surrounding plains. Major attractions are spread over five caves, which contain statues and paintings. These paintings and statues are related to Gautama Buddha and his life.
There are a total of 153 Buddha statues, three statues of Sri Lankan kings and four statues of gods and goddesses.
After visiting the temple, we had our breakfast.
🌄 Trincomalee Natural Harbour.
After that came to visit Trincomalee Natural Harbour. There is a seaport in Indian Ocean. And a large natural harbour situated on the northeastern coast of Sri Lanka. There have been many sea battles to control the harbour. In 1942 the attacked Trincomalee harbour and sank three British warships anchored there.
🌊 Marble beach.
We came next to our favorite place of the trip. That is Marble beach. We had fun on the beach. Then left to come to the shelter.
🏯 Thirukoneshwaram temple.
Next day we went to worship at Thirukoneshwaram temple. The Thirukoneswaram temple, which Hindu priests believe has a history of 6500 years, dates back to the era of Rama Ravana. Devotees believe that this is the most powerful temple built for Lord Shiva in the world. The main festival of the temple is held annually in April.
👩🚍👦 Everyone who participated in the trip had a lot of fun and added facts to their knowledge.
💓Finally we left for home.
Thankyou!
